Best remembered for his dramatic, game-tying three-run home run in Game 4 of the ’96 World Series against the Atlanta Braves, Leyritz consistently delivered in high-pressure moments, also hitting pivotal home runs in the 1995 and 1999 playoffs. His timely power and gritty play made him a fan favorite and integral figure during one of the Yankees’ most dominant eras, resulting in three World Series championships (1996, 1999, 2000) and a lasting legacy in baseball history.
